Peach Salsa
This peach salsa recipe is my attempt to keep summer around for a little while longer.
While everyone is coming out with apple and pumpkin recipes, I share a summery peach salsa that I can’t get enough of.
But don’t worry, I have plenty of apple and pumpkin recipes up my sleeve this year that I can’t wait to share with you.
So I’ve been making salsa like crazy ever since I got a new kitchen gadget that literally makes salsa in 30 seconds. Like I really needed another kitchen gadget, but I am a total sucker for sales presentations.
I was out shopping for a baby shower present when I spotted a cooking demo nearby. Of course I had to check it out. It was kitchen stuff and it was The Food Network so, um, hello?! I didn’t stand a fighting chance.
So I left the mall with $100 worth of kitchen items and no baby shower present. Ugh. Please tell me you fall for these things, too so I don’t feel like such a sucker.
Anyway, one of the things I bought was a little manual food processor (THIS is the closest thing I could find for it online – looks exactly like it) and it really does make salsa and chopping other things a breeze.
Even if you don’t have this handy dandy little gadget, this peach salsa is so simple to whip together with a basic food chopper. It’s so fresh and flavorful with bites of sweet, juicy peaches and garden fresh veggies. Yum, salsa doesn’t get better than this!
We’ve been especially loving it paired with fish and chicken. It’s even great with eggs for breakfast.
Oh and an update for those that follow the Primally Inspired Facebook page (please follow along!): Yes, I ended up eating the salsa after discovering a tiny worm in it. Thanks for all your input on what I should do and for the many laughs. I first looked around for any relatives and then set the little guy free and then dug in 😉 Like Amy said, “Better a worm than pesticides.” And I couldn’t agree more!
Peach Salsa Recipe
- 4 peaches, skin removed and diced
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium red onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeno, finely chopped - you can leave the seeds in or out depending on how spicy you like it!
- 1 lime, juiced
- ¼ - ⅓ cup cilantro, chopped
- sea salt, to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Enjoy!
- You can also put the whole ingredients in a food processor and pulse until desired consistency to make it a lot easier or use a chopper!
Looks lovely! The pictures are making my mouth water, literally. This salsa might replace my favourite guacamole as we have a lot of peaches in season right now and no avocadoes.

hello kelly, that looks delicious, with worm or without 😉 i have such a little manual food processor from tupper (my one is purple, but i think it is the same one! tupper is really big in germany, in the USA too?) but i have some problems with it so i don’t use it very often, but i think maybe i am doing something wrong? did you put all the ingredients together in it or each one alone? greetings from dortmund!
Hi Trine! I put all the ingredients in mine at once, but I quartered the tomatoes, onions and peaches before putting them in there. Also, since this recipe makes a lot, I had to make it in a few batches since the manual food processor wasn’t big enough to hold everything. Hope that helps!
thanks :)) i will give it a try tomorrow 😉
Can this be canned? How would you process it? Thanks!
I just made this using a mango instead of peaches, a taste sensation!
hallo Kelly, I just made this peach salsa recipe, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for writing in, Amallia 🙂
