November Stitch Fix Review
I want to shout from the rooftops about how much I have been loving Stitch Fix! In my November Stitch Fix, I received not one but TWO pairs of the most perfect jeans. True story — I have never had pants or jeans that didn’t need alternations before I signed up for Stitch Fix. Every girl needs that perfect pair of jeans that she just feels so great in and I finally have mine now 🙂 So excited! Keep reading to see what else I got in my November Fix.
What is Stitch Fix?
With Stitch Fix, you get matched up with your very own personal stylist that handpicks a “Fix” for you with five clothing items and/or accessories that are unique to your taste, budget and lifestyle. You have 3 days to decide if you are going to keep any of the items in your Fix. You can buy whatever you like (or nothing) and return the rest, free of charge in their postage paid envelope. There is a $20 styling fee, but if you purchase any of the items in your Fix, it’s credited back to you. For those wondering, it’s very affordable – the pieces range from $30 on up (the average is around $50).
I’ve been telling all my friends and family about Stitch Fix ever since my July Fix when I become totally hooked. Since moving to the boonies this summer, I don’t have good places to shop, plus I never liked shopping anyway. I’m such a difficult size that I’d always leave the stores empty handed and frustrated. So you can imagine how much I’m loving to not have to shop anymore! I just tell my Stitch Fix stylist what I need, how much I want to spend and she finds me the best stuff that is so perfect for me. And she even gives me a few ideas on how I can wear the pieces for different looks. It’s the best!
If you haven’t tried it yet, you should try it out! It’s such a fun experience (who doesn’t love fun clothes surprises showing up at their front door?!). You can sign up for just a one time Fix or you can set how often or as little as you’d like your Fix’s to arrive. You can sign up (or learn more) by clicking HERE.
November Stitch Fix Review
Emperia Clarita Messenger Bag
The last 2 months I’ve requested a new Fall bag, preferably in a cross body style. I wasn’t 100% impressed with last month’s choice and wanted my stylist to try again.
I’m sure most people will think I’m crazy for sending this gorgeous crossbody/messenger bag back, but I wasn’t totally in love with it. One of the major reasons was the size – it’s HUGE! While having that much storage room is a plus for most people, the size of the bag seemed to really overwhelm my petite frame. Like all the bags Stitch Fix has sent me so far, I was very impressed with the quality. I may regret sending this bag back, but I’m still holding out that something better is out there for me.
VERDICT: Sent Back
19 Cooper Lizza Floral Print Short-Sleeve Blouse
As soon as I spied the colors and pattern on this shirt with the pops of pink, I knew I was going to love it. Then I pulled it out of the box, held it up and it was huge! I was so bummed out because just by looking at it, I knew it was going to be too big for me.
But when I paired this shirt with my green pants from my July Fix, I thought it was the cutest little outfit ever. I felt so good and cute in it and if clothes can fit your personality, this is the outfit that totally screamed mine 🙂
As much as I loved this shirt, I couldn’t deny that is was much too big for me. When I tucked the shirt into my pants, there was so much extra fabric that it bunched up in my pants, which is not a cute look. The shape of the shirt was a bit off for me, too. I think it was too boxy for me. My husband said the shape of it reminded him of a nurse uniform top. It does, doesn’t it?! So while I absolutely adored the colors and the pattern of this shirt, there was just too much stuff wrong with it to keep and try to fix it. Bummer! I’m hoping that in the future, my stylist finds something that fits me that’s very similar to this pattern that I can wear with my green pants because I felt so good in this outfit.
VERDICT: Sent back, but bummed it didn’t work out
Laila Jayde Bowie Solid Dolman Sleeve Top
My first reaction was that I thought this top was such a nice color and would be a staple piece for Fall and Winter.
This year I started buying things only if it is a 10 out of 10 for me (and I got rid of everything that wasn’t, which was so hard for me at the time). That concept has pretty much changed my life! Now I completely love every single thing in my closet. And I know that when I pick out a piece in my closet, I’m going to look and feel 100% fabulous in it. And while I don’t have a lot of clothes, the things I do have are perfect for me and I get so much more use out of the pieces I have.
With that being said, this top was an 8 for me. I liked it, it was so close to being a winner, but it was not a 10. I wasn’t 100% sure that the dramatic dolman sleeves looked good on me. I’m so petite that sometimes a lot of extra fabric (like for the dolman sleeves or draped styles) can seem to overwhelm my frame. I would love to hear your opinion about the dolman sleeves and if you think they look ok for my body type.
VERDICT: Sent back.
Mavi Freida Ankle Length Skinny Jean
These jeans!!!! Stitch Fix, you’ve done it again. I don’t know how in the world you can keep finding me the perfect pants, but you do! I have worn these jeans everyday since you sent them! They are the perfect wash, fit, length and they feel so great on. I’m so excited to have finally found my perfect jeans that don’t require any alterations.
VERDICT: Kept and haven’t taken them off since 😉
Level 99 Patrick Cropped Chino Pants
Okay, Stitch Fix. You are now 5 for 5 with pants. It’s starting to get a little creepy. I’m seriously wondering if you’ve been sending little Stitch Fix fairies out in the middle of the night while I sleep to take my measurements. These pants are incredible! First of all, they are the perfect fit in every way. I’ve never owned light blue wash jeans before and I’m totally loving the color. And these pants are the softest pants I’ve ever tried on. They feel like pajama pants – I never want to take them off! Total 10.
For the pic, I paired them with one of my all time favorite Stitch Fix tops from my September Fix. I feel so great in this outfit 🙂
VERDICT: Kept and totally love ‘em
I was so excited with this Fix because I now have not 1, but TWO pairs of perfect jeans. That was more than I hoped for!
The Stitch Fix tops have been a little off the mark for me the past 2 Fixes (mainly sizing issues), but my stylist really listens to my feedback – that’s something that I appreciate about this personalized service. And I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot with my Stitch Fix stylist – she totally gets me! Since I only buy things that are a 10 out of 10, she definitely has her work cut out for her, right?!
I feel like since I signed up for Stitch Fix, she’s helped my style get world’s better from where it was previously. I seriously get compliments every time I go out now!! I know she reads these blog posts, so I just want to give her a big thank you for finding me such great pieces and helping me put them together so well.

Oh my gosh I love your photos! I wish my man would take decent ones for me! I liked your fix this time but loved the polka dot skirt in the last one the most! Also love the 10 idea. I might have to try that.
Thanks, Ashley!! I love that polka dot skirt, too – so fun 🙂 Let me know how that 10 thing works out for you if you try it. I never would have imagined how good I would feel after getting rid of everything that wasn’t a 10! So freeing!
Completely agree with your choices. I am your size and cannot wear dolman sleeves. They make me uncomfortable because it feels like so much extra fabric. The jeans are amazing, particularly the darker pair. What a find. Totally worth it!
Yes, Elizabeth – I’m with you on that. I was not fully comfortable with all that extra fabric, either!
Oh, what a great Fix! I really liked the dolman sleeved top on you, but if you aren’t totally in love with it then I agree, send it back! Still working up my bravery to try a Fix… 😉 Great post!! <3
Thanks, Danielle!! <3
oh gosh. if i went through my closet now, i’m sure i’d have so many 5 ratings!!! i’ve lost a lot of weight over the years but i’ve kept all my bigger clothes. i still wear them but i know they aren’t 10s!! you’ve inspired me to go through my closet and give away what doesn’t show off my shape. just pulling out a shirt is hard enough since everything is so jammed in there.
i love the peachy top with the jeans and brown purse! that whole ensemble looks amazing!!
Joanna, I can’t even begin to tell you how freeing it was to get rid of all that stuff that wasn’t a 10. It was like all that baggage weighing me down – GONE! Getting rid of all those 8’s and 9’s was the hardest part, but it was so worth it at the end. I think we should all look and feel like 10’s, right?! 🙂
so cute! I love your color/pattern style. I’ve never won the lottery before but finding pants that fit is definitely on that same level lol I have a long frame and finding pants that are long enough can be a challenge so when I do it’s like ‘jackpot’!
LOL, so glad you understand the importance of finding good jeans! 😀
Hey! I signed up to try stitch fix. Is there a way I can say I was referred to you after signing up? I didn’t realize I needed to use your link =/
Your posts about StitchFix inspired me to give it a try! I am expecting my first shipment next week and can not wait! I love the clothes you get and hope my are similar. Just want to say that I love the Cooper print short sleeve shirt. I thought it looked good on you and would look better with a darker jean. The bag was beautiful but you are right, it was a tad too big. I will continue to follow you so please post all your shipments!
Hey thanks, Allison! I hope you get a good fix!! You’ll have to let me know 🙂 And if you ever want to request my stylist, her name is Kieu-Kelly. She is awesome and really understands my style. I think you are right about the Cooper shirt – if I get something similar in a future Fix, I’ll remember that!
I’ve only had one Stitch Fix so far but I was definitely impressed with the service! I plan on getting another one in the near future 🙂 I really like that floral blouse and I’m sad to hear that it was a little big on you… it was super cute!
Thanks, Tori! I stalked and read your Stitch Fix review – The jeans looked amazing on you and I really liked that chevron top, too!
Hi, I noticed on your Pinterest that you’re a Dressing Your Truth Type 1. Did you explain what that means to your Stitch Fix stylist? I’m a Type 2 and would love to try Stitch Fix, but I’m worried I won’t get much that’s true to my type.
Hi Shana! I did explain that to my stylist and made sure to use the Type 1 keywords in explaining what it means to dress like a Dressing Your Truth Type 1 (fun, bright, crisp, cute, tints, preppy, etc.). And she totally got it! Since I’ve been doing Stitch Fix, I only got 1 thing that wasn’t a type 1 – that’s pretty impressive, right?! I made sure to tell her I NEVER wear black or dark grey and I will ONLY wear colors that are tints so she knows there’s no compromising for me – don’t even try 😉
I think if you are very descriptive and use the type 2 keywords, you should be okay. I would also recommend a good type 2 pinterest board filled with type 2 descriptive words. What you write in the Pinterest descriptions will go a long way in helping your stylist understand what a DYT Type 2 means. Example: If you pin an outfit with a long flowy skirt, write in the description, “I love this skirt because it’s flowy and the colors are blended and muted.”
Good luck!
I just got the skinny jeans in my fix. And my question to you is do yours stretch after wearing them throughout the day? Right now they fit me perfectly but they feel like there’s a fair amount of stretch in them. In the past that type of stretch can cause for a saggy butt look.
Hey Kristin! There is a fair amount of stretch in them (something I love) but I haven’t noticed them getting too stretched after wearing them all day so I think they’re fine (at least for me) & don’t give me the saggy butt look.
Hi! I also just received these in a fix! I absolutely love them, but they are somewhat snug. That said, do you think they stretch out enough that that would be ok? Definitely don’t want them to shrink at all in the wash. Thoughts!? Thanks!
Hey Emily! Mine did not shrink at all, but I wash them only in cold water and on medium heat. So I think you would be ok as long as you wash them in the cold!
As an SF newbie (just got my 2nd fix) I really enjoyed your reviews and comments. Could you include the item prices in your reviews too please.
